Principle

To establish the importance and need of the human resource department and efficient human resource managers within the organization.

Theory

The main objective behind this assignment is to establish the importance as well as the need for human resource management in any organization. This assignment will present a brief concept of human resource management and also the recruitment and the selection policies of the two organizations have been compared. The two organizations are Google and the Fried Chicken master. Among the most important functions that come under human resource management are recruitment, selection, training and development, payroll, employees’ relations, compensation management, employee engagement policies and etc. The human resource is the most valued asset of any organization needs the proper management of the same so it could become helpful in achieving the desired results of the organization. If we take the example of Google then it is one of the most famous companies of the world and also the only one to use
people analytics in order to ensure effective and efficient management of the human resource functions. Google always hire the best talent and make relevant efforts to ensure the satisfaction of its employees. Google is known for its effective management of the human resources follows a flexible organizational structure to ensure smooth functioning of the organization and it also pays equal attention to the worst as well as best employees. The human resource department of Google also arranges relevant training and development programs for its employees in order to enhance their performance and ensuring easy implantation of change within the organization as and when required. Now, some professionals such line managers are very much important for any organization and in Google also as they ensure successful implementation of human resource policies. Some of the important responsibilities of line managers include employee engagement related with supervising the employees, assessing the performance of individual employees, conveying the feedback of employees to the senior manager, maintaining discipline within the workplace to ensure easy implementation of the human resource policies and the procedures. Human resource rules and regulations under the different organizations are also affected by some of the important laws which include the civil rights acts of 1964 prohibiting the organizations or the owners of the company to discriminate against the employees on the basis of gender, race, religion or national origin. Equal employment opportunity commission responsible for enforcing the Civil Rights Act, 1964 also covers the following acts of age discrimination, equal pay act, pregnancy discrimination act and etc. It is important to focus on reasons responsible for human
resource planning. Human resource planning is needed to determine the number of employees required by the organization, to identify the skills of employees that are essential for the organization, identify the processes and the procedures essential for maximizing the performance of the human resources, identify the ways essential for maintaining as well as retaining the employees within the organizations and etc. Human resource management provides several
advantages to its employees who include minimizing the chances of uncertainties regarding the human resources of an organization, ensuring appropriate and maximum utilization of human resources and etc.

Conclusion

It can be concluded that effective human resource management is indeed the necessity of any organization whether big or small to get the record of required human resource and to get the desired results after recruiting them. There are several stages involved in planning human resource requirements such as identifying and analyzing the objectives of the organization appropriately by gathering relevant data from the various fields included marketing, finance, operations and etc, determining the current human resource requirements in order to get an idea about the current employee capacity of the organization along with getting the correct idea about number of employees currently employed by the organization and the level of their performance, formulating action plan to analyze whether the organization is experiencing a surplus or deficit regarding human resources and etc. Google is successful today because it has implemented human resource policies properly by making proper use of tools and techniques for the recruitment and selection process of the employees whereas the organization mentioned above did not take care of these rules and so has to pay heavily. As the Fried chicken master did not follow a proper recruitment and training program for the employees and so it could not retain them which resulted into the high turnover rate of employees. The MBA course in human resource management is able to produce highly qualified human resource professionals which are very much important for any organization.
