Theory:

Objective: Nowadays, there are lots of types of communication system but the several attractive features attached to optical fiber make simpler to use. The assignment has mentioned the aims, mission and vision of a company based in Rajasthan and desirous about establishing itself as global leader in the field of optic fiber communication. The company’s product included optical fiber, optical fiber communication, cable reinforcement solutions along with delivering some of the exemplary services that included IPTV, Pigeon (VOIP) and FTTH. The company holds a reputation of being the pioneer in manufacturing of raw materials for optical fiber cables and has been always innovative with its cable design along with manufacturing a wide array of optical fiber cables that include single mode & multimode cables, duct cables, armored, Indoor & outdoor cables, special application cables which include Hybrid, All purpose, ceramic armored and etc. This company is also globally renowned for high quality FRP rods, ARP rods and WS yarn that give the best reinforcement and strength to optical fiber cables. The company started its first FTTH in Jaipur in the year 2002 and then collaborated with MTNL and BSNL. Among the several projects successfully completed by the company, it has completed the project of installing of 2600 km of ADSS optical fiber cable in Bhutan along with receiving contract from BTL Mauritius to supply and install triple play equipment. The company is aiming towards to becoming the largest manufacturer and exporter of FRP rods and armored cable in India. Now, before going into the details of expansion programs of this company we will discuss about the different aspects of optic fiber communication systems which includes working of fiber optic communication, basic elements of a fiber optic communication system and etc. As we know, fiber communication is used to transmit voice, video, telemetry and data over long distances and local area networks or computer networks. Light wave technology is used by  a fiber optic communication system uses  to transmit the data over a fiber by changing electronic signals into light. Fiber optic communication system has three main basic elements such as compact light source which depends on the applications like local area network and long haul communication systems and in this the light source requirements are vary. The two components in compact light source used as light sources are LED’s and laser diodes. The other element include low loss optical fiber also known as cylindrical dielectric wave light made of low loss material. An optical fiber cable consists of four parts which are core, cladding, buffer and jacket. Similarly, optical fibers are of two types which are single mode fibers having small cores used to transmit one signal per fiber and often are used in telephone and television sets and multi mode fiber having larger cores used to transmit signals in computer and local area networks. Also two types of photo detectors are used in optical fiber communication system for receiving optical. These are PN photo diode and avalanche photo diode .The composition of materials in these devices vary depending upon the application’s wavelength. These materials often include silicon, germanium and etc.

Principle: To understand and to get the better understanding of different elements of optical fiber communication system and reviewing the growth opportunities of the company active in this field.



Conclusion:

Conclusion: Being founded in the year 1986 with major focus on manufacturing of optical fiber cables, the company also acquired Fiber Reinforced Plastics business which is a key raw material for optical fiber cables. Now, this 27 years old company is the largest FRP producer involves in supplying to all optical fiber manufacturers in 56 countries across six continents and strongly positioned in high tech markets. As the company is active in the development, design, manufacturing, supply and installation of cable solutions, it covers the wide range of products, services, technologies and know how in the telecom market along with providing all types of optical fiber cables and accessories for the telecoms- voice, video and data transmission industry. So looking at the tremendous growth that the company has gained over the years, it can be concluded that in future also it will grow at the rapid speed as in the present era; the communication sector is at the peak and each and every country requires the companies which could provide excellent service and facilities in this field. This company has proved its worth by grabbing the projects of abroad and completing successfully. The company is still involved in many foreign projects.
